Park Square Inn in Davao - Philippines
Park Square Inn is a sensible lodging option when in the Matina Aplaya District of Davao City. It is among the logical choices for a short stay in the city while surveying tourist spots adjoining it.
Park Square Inn is well situated so that we have easy access to the city and to neighboring rural towns as well. By just crossing the Generoso Bridge Along Quimpo Boulevard we reach the city proper in less than half an hour. We also quickly get to countryside towns where most historical and scenic spot abound.

Found along Quimpo Boulevard right in the Sandawa Plaza, Park Square Inn is a very affordable yet suitable tourist inn with 21 inviting air-conditioned rooms each complete with cable TV, nicely sheeted beds, comfy ambience, plus of course, efficient toilet and bath with hot and cold shower utilities. A nights stay in a single room costs around Php 420 to Php 750 or about $9 to $16 a night. Deluxe rooms cost Php 815 or about $18, more or less.
Matina Aplaya, or New Matina, is mostly a residential and commercial district dotted with subdivisions and open fields, like Davao City Golf Club, Davao Memorial Park, the Shrine of Infant Jesus, and the vast area of University of Mindanao. The Park Square Inn environs are perfect for lovers of hilly terrains with lots of free-flowing fresh air and greeneries.
Neighboring private establishments along Quimpo are the Philhealth, Apung Kula (grill eatery), Lions Multi-Test and Medical Center, Mertobank, SM Davao (Ecoland), Mandaue Foam, and Citi Hardware. The Memorial to a Brave Son is right at the bridge connecting Aplaya to the city proper. AKH Antonios Grill N Bar is near SM Ecoland. Park Square Inn is a good place to launch a city tour from.
With meals, the Park Square Inn building - Sandawa Plaza - has lots of interesting eateries to offer. Try the Karinderya sa Sandawa which is a native dishes galore. Then theres the Yellow Fin Seafoods and Restaurant. After a gourmet meal at Park Square Inn we may proceed to visit scenic places in nearby, like Talomo (the beach is excellent) and Toril (a lot of Japanese historic spots) to the south, both touching the Davao Gulf.
More inland to the north we may visit Tugbok and Buhangin for more historical sites. Farther north and probably more than an hours drive, are Calinan and Baguio. Setting up base at Park Square Inn while we go places in picturesque Davao City is lots of fun.
