Dela Paz Corner Dive Site in Davao - Philippines

Between the islands Samal and Talicud is this mesmerizing place they call Dela Paz Corner Dive Site. Actually it’s along the southwest coast of Samal. Divers scurry to the site to catch glimpses of the deep found rarely anywhere else. If we should chance upon the waters trapped between Talicud and Samal then do drop into the Dela Paz Corner Dive Site.

The drop off is just some 20 meters down. Being protected by two islands the water current is stable and rarely too disturbed. The same when we dive deep down. The best time to go diving at the site is night time when more deep sea creatures boldly venture out their habitats and roam the coral beds and sea floors. Dela Paz Corner Dive Site reveals so much at a mere 20 to 30-meter depth. Watch out for the mesmerizing nudi and plueo branches as we descend and the sponge crab and pipe fish that loiter around warily.

There’s an interesting wall at the site where huge and deep fissures and cracks are found and where other creatures peep out now and then. It’s safe to frolic there awhile and rest on the jutting rock overhangs. Feast at the colorful sights of shrimps, hawk fish, scorpion fish, cardinal and trumpet fish, as well as rabbit and parrot fish. It’s like a zoo of whirling and reeling creatures down there at Dela Paz Corner Dive Site.

The Dela Paz Corner Dive Site is just beside the Kaputian Wharf (the coastlines are beaming with white sand, thus, “kaputian”) and the IGAaCoS Mariculture Park. Dela Paz Corner Dive Site is also between equally amazing Sementeryo and Marissa dive sites just off the town of Adecor on Samal. After some stretch of diving sessions we may want to surface a moment and enjoy the sandy isles of Malipano nearby. Enjoy the assortment of shells collecting at the shore as well as the clear white sand along the coastline of Samal.

Dela Paz Corner Dive Site is among world class dive spots found on the southwest portion of Samal. Protected in a cove-like shoreline and bounded by Talicud Island at the far southwest are five dive spots, including Dela Paz Dive Site. Others are Sementeryo, Marissa, San Jose, and Punta Del Sol. So far, there are 20 first class dive sites scattered all around Samal and Talicud Islands.

Dive sites around Samal and Talicud are astounding. However, more so are the things that Dela Paz Dive Site can reveal.
